As a local here in St. Augustine I love supporting the local... I must say, THESE PEOPLE CAME TO IMPRESS!!!! We started out with the coconut shrimp which was out of this world! Then for our entrees we had the rack of lamb & fish & chips! Both were PERFECTION!! Our waitress always had our drinks full and with a smile. Alex the owner, came by checking in on us and I must say... that shows a lot for a local business! If you haven’t tried Panama Hatties, your missing out!

Celebrated my birthday last night with friends at Panama Hatties. The staff couldn't have been kinder! They all went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed! The food was awesome and wine selection and drinks were fabulous. Can't wait to go back again! Thanks for everything 💗

Went for a late dinner 1/27/20 and although the kitchen was closing 30 minutes after we arrived, the bartender (who was also our waitress) was very accommodating and made us feel welcome. The food was great, too. The Hattie’s Nachos with chicken was off the charts. The French onion soup was great, as well; loaded with a huge chunk of cheese and plenty of onions. Pictured is the Seafood Cavatappi, which was excellent. Thanks!

Met my friends for a few cocktails. We shared the nachos. The serving size was super generous. Will definitely go again.

I have been to the old Panama Hattie's, and this new version far exceeds the old one. Everything is new, and well laid out. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and directed upstairs. At the top of the stairs, we were nicely greeted and taken to our table. Nice menus. Nice view towards St. John's Pier area. Kristen B was our waitress; she was very kind, and very professional for the restaurant business. She got our orders, and drinks and food came out quickly. We had the IPA Goose Island Cod, with seasoned fries and excellent slaw. Large portions that we did a to go box. Pricing is competitive to other restaurants on the island. Overall the new Panama Hattie's is definitely better than the old one, and the staff very professional. Food is excellent, and we will be returning.

Panama Hattie's is our St Augustine favorite of all time!! So glad we made the trip from East Tennessee to see our favorite place completely renovated and restored. Panama Hattie's has retained it's hospitality and charm while upscaling and updating it's decor. The menu selection is perfect! Food portion sizes are also perfect! I opted for the fried jumbo shrimp and was amazed at the quality and size of the shrimp! A dozen very large shrimp deep fried full of tender mouth watering flavor! You can also have this grilled, fried, or blackened. You won't be disappointed here! The staff goes out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. If you're in St Augustine this is a must! Seafood at it's best!! Looking forward to another visit!

We had an amazing time here. We use to visit for years then a little over a year ago it closed and we couldn’t believe it. This October on our visit to St Augustine when we drove by it was reopened AND remodeled!! We asked and our waitress told us it was still the original owner. The service was amazing and the food was excellent! The manager was very nice as he came by to check on our table. As mentioned before they remodeled including the upper deck area. Very nice space and ambiance. They had a small live music venue (two people) playing for everyone which was a great experience. We had the crab legs for three of us and we felt it was a great portion for the money. (6 knuckles, corn on the cobb and garlic bread). Thanks for giving our family a great experience! Oh AND they added a small REAL arcade downstairs!! Made for a great ending with our kids after the meal. Top Notch Establishment! We will be back in May!!

Panama Hatties was the ultimate experience. The food was delicious Calamari. Coconut Shrimp appetizer. Dinner Chicken Alfredo delicious.... Kayla was an amazing Waitress the service was awesome... Kayla made sure we had everything we needed with a smile!

Food was fantastic! The portions are huge so share an entree. Don't miss the Hattie's nachos with blackened shrimp...totally delish!

Good food and good amount. Still a bit pricey though. Nothing really jumped out that was unique at me either.

Wife and I ate here yesterday. Immense portions. We ordered the coconut shrimp and one fish Rueben. Have never seen a slab of haddock that big, and there were two on the sandwich. Prompt fast friendly service. Food was very good. Hot. Flavorful. Will eat here again during our vaca.Ate here again Saturday night. Still wonderful. Still huge amounts of food. Still delicious. Thanks to Meg, Madeline, and Roxy for the great dining experience.

We ate at the bar and drinks and service was excellent. We order the dish and chips which had 4 big pieces of fish. It was quick and excellent cant believe it's less than $15.00 a great deal. Menu has lots of exciting things to try. We will be back in March. Music outside upstairs.

Excellent food. Coleslaw very different but delicious. Very large portions. Homemade condiments. Friendly attentive staff. We will return.

During each of my visits to Panama Hattie’s, the staff is always super friendly and helpful. The food is incredible with large portions and comes out quick. My group and I loved the nachos and the mac & cheese was perfect! The outside deck provides a nice atmosphere with a ocean view and new live music every evening.

Five stars for the Fish & Chips, three stars for service. We had a party of 8 and the hostess was not friendly or personable when we arrived. When part of our party was leaving she and the server were frantically cleaning the table around us. We were still trying to finish our drinks. We were forced to move into the crowded bar to finish our drinks and conversation. Just takes a little finesse and personality to succeed in the hospitality business. Staff fell short on this night.

We went to Panama Hatties this past weekend for a big family birthday party and it was amazing! The managers were both so nice and accommodating when I first called to make the reservation, and then on the day of the party the wait staff was excellent and very helpful and patient with such a large group. They were even willing to help with the decorations. Everyone had a great time!!! Kids loved the game room too! Restaurant looks so nice and my fried shrimp dinner was delicious. Looking forward to going back. Thanks again for accommodating us and making their birthday dinner special.

These guys are awesome!! From the impeccable service to the amazing food. Thanks to Alex and the rest of his team, we had an absolutely perfect expense for wedding day dinner. Totally reasonable prices, great location and such a beautiful venue. We will definitely be eating at Panama Hatties every time we are in St Augustine.

We visited on our vacation! Had the best experience ever! Wonderful food and super friendly service! Sarah was wonderful and very welcoming. We wish we had gone more on our vacay.

The Fish and Chips are huge well fried pieces. Couple extra $ get you a nice salad.The Pan seared Mahi was cooked to perfection and even better with sauteed mushrooms and onions.As evening went along, live entertainment started playing some melodies. Very nice wine and drink list.$$ but first place to serve up to that value.Dessert menu was lame. Would think a key-lime pie would be offered.Portions are very filling so not much room for dessert anyway.

What a remarkable transformation of this iconic St Augustine establishment. We sat upstairs with a view of the ocean and the pier. The food was incredible! Wasabi Tuna sandwich tasted great! I opted out of fries and had mac-n-cheese instead. Wow. Service was awesome, too. I definitely recommend.

The fish and chips and jumbo shrimp were excellent! Grace was our server and did a great job! The Tito's Bloody Mary was awesome. We'll be back.

I had the most wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was great! My server, Sarah Greene, was absolutely amazing!! I was very impressed. Will definitely be returning!

This restaurant was across the street from our condo we rented. We decided to go there on Sunday evening bacherlette party. The food was amazing!! Steaks were perfect and the boil with crab and shrimp was so good. Definitely will be going back to this place..

Great service by our waitress, Savannah. The coconut shrimp and quinoa/rice/vegetable dish were delicious.

From the outside, this place reminded me of the restaurant in the Netflix series "The Affair"...so we had to go in. Clearly, they do beautifully crafted cocktails and the food coming by looked wonderful. We stopped in for a bite and ordered the fish and chips, beer and wine. Certainly, the most disappointing f&c we've ever had. The pieces appeared to be lovely but were mostly batter with a scanty sliver of fish inside. Try something other than that here.

Friendly staff. Food was great way more than one person should eat. Good thing we split it. Reasonably priced.

Just finished dinner with a group of 5. Everyone left happy. 2 salads, 1 shrimp, 1 pasta with clams and muscles and 1 beyond burger= all smiles. My mom (an Italian) even loved their red sauce. So glad to see this place open again! It's just beautiful on the inside.

Very surprising, I went in expecting average, overpriced tourist food. Very tasty. I got the fish and chips, as good or better than any in St. Augustine, priced for one person but enough food for two. My wife got the coconut shrimp, very tasty. Definitely going back.

Great chic atmosphere! Was at the ole Hattie's and this is quite different. Our sever Sarah Jo was Outstanding! The drinks were very good- had an American Mule & the Hattie's Voodoo Juice (which they give you a souvenir cup). I had the herb roasted chicken which was outstanding (got per Sarah's recommendation & she was right on). My baked potato had a harder outside than I normally like but it taste awesome. Really enjoyed the touch of the old pictures of St Augustine that were added. They also have live music outside but we didn't listen.

Great experience this time. It wasn't crowded. Hostess was great, server was also great with our questions. Food came out hot. I only wish she would have asked how we wanted our burger cooked as we forgot to tell her. The patio is a great place to sit when it's not too hot outside. We'll be back again but just not when it's crowded.

Kayla was our waitress, she was very polite and friendly, helped my brother figure out how to eat crab legs. Food is a little pricey but the proportions decent. Over all positive experience for the start of our vacation!

Loved the atmosphere, couldn't ask for better service. We dined and had drinks on the rooftop. The food was delicious, beer was cold, fast becoming one of my favorites on A1A.

It was good service and a good place but it took the food so so so so long to be made and all I got was a burger and fries I got here at 6 and I’m still waiting for my food it’s 7:30...

Good food. Wonderful view from upper deck. Great employees. Good place to eat on a beautiful sunny day. Inside is also a very nice place to dine.

Food was very good! Me and my wife went Friday night and kayla was the best waitress iv had in a very long time. She always had a smile and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Plus I loved the new updated look!

Food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Dave was our bartender who did an excellent job with recommending food and drinks. The manager Jim checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed he was very accommodating.

We visited Panama Hattie's for the first time last night. Since it was a Saturday night I had made a reservation and they got us right in at our reserved time. We were asked to go upstairs where we were warmly greeted by not one, but two different ladies.We were seated next to a window with a beautiful view. Grace was our server and was extremely pleasant. The French onion soup was perfect as were our entrees. The portion size was huge! A photographer stopped by our table and asked if we'd like a pic for a postcard (which we completely forgot to get before leaving) but she took our picture together and was very gracious about it. We took our apple cobbler dessert to go and it was DELICIOUS!We'll most definitely be back for another visit.

This is a great place to have a meal with your family! Our server Roxy was excellent and the food was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
